Episode 10 : Learning How to Love
James has returned home and begins in earnest, practising his newfound life of prayer. However, we find him writing to Peter when he feels his prayer is floundering. Peter explains through their correspondence, that James is now finding himself on the threshold of contemplative prayer, and he encourages James to persevere and describes how he should proceed. This episode finishes many years later when Peter meets James again, but this time in his home in the New Forest. Peter has been giving lectures in London and James expresses his gratitude for his mentor in prayer, who changed the direction of his life completely.

Hello David,
My name is John Ferguson and I am a seminarian for the Diocese of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania United States. I wanted to express gratitude for your mini-course on prayer that was published in SpiritualDirection.com. When I read that you are a spiritual theologian who specializes in prayer, Christian Spirituality, and Mystical Theology, there was a fire ignited in my heart, for it is my desire to aspire to these specialties and to use them in priestly ministry one day. The Lord spoke to me through this mini-course on prayer when it was published a couple of years ago. I feel that the good Lord wants me to shares this with others. This year in formation I am on a pastoral year, which means that I am assigned to a parish for a whole year getting hands-on experience of a priests life on the day to day basis. one of the requirements is that the seminarian is to give a series for the parish community. I was thinking of using your mini-course on prayer and I ask your permission to use it. Please respond asap for your permission or not. Know that I pray for you every time I pray the Divine Office, united in the Mystical Body of Christ. Please pray for me. God bless you!
John
Of course you can use my material John. I would be honoured. Please let me have your email. You can send it through my website if you like.
God bless you always in all you do.

David-
I simply wish I had found you years ago.
Years ago mid 80s I had some time, in presence of Australian mate Frank Moloney ofm, with Kenneth Campbell ofm on an Umbrian hillside.
Unforgettable!
